KAITLYN WHITMER DULA
1991-2024
Our local volleyball community lost a tremendous gift to the game with the passing of Coach Kaitlyn Whitmer Dula last spring. Her fiery passion and love for the game extended from the courts of the Shamrock Festival and local Franklin County High School (2006-2008), to Catawba College (2009-2012) where she left an unforgettable legacy. She was known for her unstoppable drive, leadership, and talent on the court as well as her love for teaching the game and shaping the next generation.
The Shamrock Festival “Dig for Dula: Kids’ Clinic is an annual Instructional Kids’ Clinic for boys & girls ages 5-13 held on up to 4 courts in the Coliseum portion of the Berglund Center. It is more than just a volleyball event - it’s a celebration of Kaitlyn’s incredible impact on the game and the countless friendships formed through volleyball. Young athletes will have the opportunity to learn, grow, and build the same bonds that meant so much to Kaitlyn. Join us as we honor her legacy, inspire the next generation, and keep Kaitlyn’s love for the game alive.
